🎶 Steel Pan Program Update & Fundraiser
Hi families!
We wanted to share a quick update on the Steel Pan program and our upcoming plans.
The current fundraiser is specifically intended to support Steel Pan lessons DURING the school day. We currently have approximately 150 students interested in participating in this program. Due to funding limitations, we are currently looking at launching the during-school program in Semester 2.
In the meantime, we’re excited to get our Advanced Steel Pan groups started! Beginning the first week of October, we will offer both Monday and Tuesday sessions for students who have participated in Steel Pan for at least one semester.
There are lots of exciting opportunities ahead for these students, including:
- 🎵 Performing at the Centennial Celebration on June 12
- 🏫 An invitation to perform before one of the School Board meetings downtown
- 🥁 Expanding our “Pan for Lunch” program based on student requests
- 🎉 Additional performances and events currently in the works — we’ll share more as they are officially scheduled!
💰 How You Can Help
We need to raise funds to help tune and maintain the steel pans in November.
If you have already made a donation through the old fundraising link, please let us know so we can make sure the funds are accounted for.
If it is easier, donations can also be made directly to Ms. Marek, who manages the distribution of funds for the Steel Pan program.
You can also use the current SchoolPay link here:

Thank you so much for supporting our students and this program! We’re excited about what’s ahead and are keeping our fingers crossed for a great year of music, performances, and opportunities. 😊🎶
Thanks,
EMP
